Japanese localization for Minecraft mods

くらふとぱれっと publishes free Japanese localization packs for Minecraft mods, alongside Japanese articles introducing each mod. The rest of the site is in Japanese, so this page explains the project in English.

It is an unofficial fan site, run by one person. Mod names and original texts remain the property of their authors. The packs contain translations only — never the mods themselves.

What has been published

• •292 localization packs, all free to download
• •279 of them translated from scratch — the mod shipped no Japanese, or only partial Japanese
• •179,502 translated strings, 1,029,012 words of English source text

How the packs are built

• •A glossary and a translation memory are kept per mod, so a term stays the same across updates.
• •Placeholders and format codes (%s, %d, {player}, §a, \n) are preserved and machine-checked. A pack fails the check if any placeholder is missing or duplicated.
• •Every string is post-edited by hand before release.
• •When a mod updates, only the changed strings are reworked.
