How to use this
Enter a seed and this page finds the bastion remnant closest to spawn. Like the Nether fortress, these coordinates are Nether coordinates. The matching Overworld location is the X and Z values multiplied by 8.
You reach the Nether through a Nether portal built in the Overworld. Building your portal near the target coordinates makes travel back and forth much easier.

About bastion remnants
A bastion remnant is a large structure built mostly from blackstone that generates across several Nether biomes. It comes in a few different layouts, such as a bridge, a set of stables, housing units, or a treasure room, and one of these is chosen when it generates.
Piglins live throughout a bastion, and they stay passive toward you as long as you are wearing at least one piece of golden armor. Take it off and they turn hostile. Some sections, particularly the stables, also hold hoglins penned inside.
The treasure room, when present, holds chests with valuable materials and occasionally rare items. It is one of the higher risk, higher reward locations in the Nether.
It is worth knowing that a bastion remnant and a Nether fortress do not generate in the same area. Checking the Nether fortress page for the same seed shows how the two structures divide up the map.

A. No, they are Nether coordinates. The matching Overworld location is the X and Z values multiplied by 8.
Q. Does the same seed give the same location on Bedrock Edition?
A. No. Bedrock Edition uses a different world generation algorithm than Java Edition, so the same seed produces different terrain and different structure locations. This tool calculates positions for Java Edition only.
Q. How do I stop piglins from attacking me?
A. Wearing at least one piece of golden armor keeps piglins passive toward you. Approach without any gold on and they will turn hostile.
Q. Can a bastion remnant and a Nether fortress both be nearby?
A. Generally only one of the two generates in a given area. Checking both this page and the Nether fortress page for the same seed lets you see which one is closer.
