Enter a diameter and height to get a cylinder blueprint, one layer at a time.
Total 800 blocks(12 stacks + 32)
A cylinder is a circle layer repeated straight upward for the chosen height. Every layer in the blueprint shares the same grid, so once one layer is placed correctly, the rest of the build is just repeating that same pattern the required number of times.
In practice, place the first layer carefully on the ground and then use it as a template, copying the same arrangement directly above it layer after layer. This keeps the shape from drifting as it gets taller. On a tall tower, a miscount in a middle layer can go unnoticed for a while, so it helps to step back every five layers or so and check that the outline still lines up from the side.
Layers do not have to be built strictly bottom to top. When scaffolding is involved, it can help to place a few marker layers at regular intervals first and fill in the layers between them afterward. Either order produces the same final cross-section, since every layer follows the same blueprint.
For a cylinder, the three styles change the cross-section of every layer at once. Filled makes each layer a solid disc, which suits a base or a pillar meant to feel heavy and solid all the way through.
Thin keeps only the outline of each layer, turning the shape into a hollow tube, which is useful when a staircase needs to run through the middle or lighting needs to be hidden inside. Thick widens that outline slightly, giving the wall of the tube some visible thickness so it still reads as solid from a distance. The cross-section itself does not change as the height increases, so it is worth test-placing a single layer first to confirm the shape before repeating it for the full height.
